
In January 2006 Gunn was named as the winner of the Sovereign European Art Prize 06: Having been formerly nominated by Escalator Curator, Cherry Smyth (London) and Artist, Colin Self (Norfolk). The selection was made from over 200 nominated artists from over 22 European countries by an eminent panel of European curators chaired by Sir Peter Blake.
Gunn gained a First Class BA Honours’ degree in Fine Art at Norwich School of Art and Design. She was the winner of the prestigious Bishops Prize for Painting in 2003 and was the recipient of an Escalator award from Arts Council England East in 2005; which recognizes and supports, the most promising emerging and established artists living and working in the East of England. Her work has been exhibited in Europe and the UK and acquired by private collectors; Archant, for their National Collection, Arts Council England, and by the Sovereign International Art Foundation.
Her work has featured in the ‘Monochromed’ exhibition at the Fine Art Society Gallery; Bond St. London, in September 2006 alongside works by artists, Damien Hirst, Yves Klein, & Lucio Fontana.
